Backward compatibility will provide the Xbox Series X thousands of games at the start

Microsoft claims that thanks to backward compatibility, the Xbox Series X will receive thousands of games from the previous three generations. Moreover, they will work in native mode – using all the power of the new console, in the highest possible resolution, with high fps, HDR, and fast load times, thanks to SSD.

In addition, the console will support peripherals from previous generations (including the Xbox One gamepad), and users will be able to transfer all their saves, achievements, friends lists, communities, and other data to the Xbox Series X.

Microsoft’s new console will go on sale in 2020.
