The studio acknowledged the mistakes and announced a fundamental revision of the project.
According to Casey Hudson, the head of BioWare, Anthem’s release was a “leap into the unknown,” and not everything was implemented as planned. Despite the problems at the start, the team sees the potential in the game and decided to completely rebuild it.
This will be a large-scale work – not a patch or addon, but a rethinking of Anthem, which will take several months. During this time, the current version of the game will not receive new content, apart from minor updates to the store and re-launches of past seasons. The developers promise to change the progression system, add more interesting activities to the end game and make the process of getting loot more fun.
