February is another month when you can safely pass the upcoming games, because there are no major game releases. There will probably be good games, and a couple of expected remasters, but the gaming industry will finally “wake up” only in March with releases of several important AAA titles at once.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War ( PC, PS4, Xbox One )
The continuation of the spin-off games of the Sniper Elite series, dedicated to how Hitler finally used occult rituals to bring the dead Reich soldiers back to life during the alternative World War II.
However, the plot is the last thing that Zombie Army 4 is worth waiting for. First of all, Dead War is valuable for a cooperative walkthrough with up to 4 players and an “X-ray camera”, which shows in detail how the bullet penetrates the flesh of opponents, tears muscles and destroys bones. Of course, there will be available new weapons and types of zombies. There will be a horde mode where you just have to survive – as much as you can.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics ( PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch )
RPG with turn-based battles based on the puppet series of Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which in turn was created based on a 1982 fantasy film. The plot is designed to reveal new details about the characters of the show, recognizable visual style and battles, which take place on a field divided into conditional squares.
The gameplay is familiar: during a move you can either move the character, or perform some action, or attack. This one is most likely will be skipped by me.
Dreams ( Ps4 )
The new game from the most creative studio of Sony – Media Molecule. This team has previosly created the two parts of the Little Big Planet platformer, the unusual Tearaway, and now it is completing the development of Dreams. This is a kind of game designer with a very extensive toolkit in which you can make your own game – apparently, almost anything.
18th of Febuary
Remasters of Bayonetta and Vanquish (2010) ( PS4, Xbox One )
The Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary will include updated versions of these games, and on the “beefier” versions of the current-gen consoles – PS4 Pro and Xbox One X – these games will support 4K resolution and 60 FPS.
Bayonetta is one of the best action games of our time, created under the direction of Hideki Kamiya, author of Devil May Cry. And Vanquish is a dynamic third-person action game led by Shinji Mikami, the creator of Resident Evil series. In a word, both games, if you have not played them in so many years, definitely deserve attention.
